About Cub
Technical subjects don’t have to feel complicated. Our role is to distil complex information into clear, engaging films that audiences genuinely enjoy watching. We believe thoughtful storytelling and considered design are just as important as great animation.

Option 1 | Iconographic Motion Design

£10,000–15,000

A clean, graphic approach using simplified diagrams, iconography and typography to explain complex concepts with clarity. By reducing the technical visuals to their essential components and using animation to demonstrate processes, we can create an engaging explainer that is easy to follow and scalable for potential future updates.

Visual References
To help illustrate our thinking, we’ve gathered a selection of references showcasing different ways of visualising data, networks and complex systems. While not direct stylistic references, they demonstrate the level of clarity, sophistication and motion we’d look to bring to the final film.

Option 2 | Character-Led Storytelling

£15,000–20,000

A more narrative-driven approach that introduces researchers, clinicians and data providers as simple illustrated characters. This helps humanise a highly technical subject, making the film more approachable for audiences who may be unfamiliar with healthcare data infrastructure, while still clearly communicating the underlying technology.

Option 3 | Premium 3D Explainer

£25,000+

A polished 3D visualisation combining abstract environments, data networks and premium motion design to create a high-end brand film. This approach elevates the subject matter, helping position FITFILE as an innovative technology platform while making complex systems feel intuitive through depth, movement and cinematic presentation.

Additional Considerations

Our role is not simply to animate the script, but to translate complex information into something that’s immediately understandable. Throughout the process we’ll look for opportunities to simplify messaging, reduce cognitive load and use motion to explain concepts more effectively than static diagrams alone.

We’d also recommend considering whether a single film is the best solution for all audiences. A marketing-focused version for prospective clients alongside a more technical version for NHS partners could provide greater clarity while maximising the value of the production.

Finally, we’ll carefully balance narration with on-screen information. Audiences can’t effectively read and listen at the same time, so we’ll keep on-screen text concise and let the animation do the heavy lifting.
