A Guide to Formula 1 for 2026

Working with Formula 1, Cub Studio created an animated beginner’s guide designed to make the world’s premier motorsport more accessible to new audiences. Through a combination of characterful motion design, 3D animation and clear visual storytelling, the film explains everything from qualifying and race weekends to tyre strategy, aerodynamics and overtaking.

Complex subjects become engaging when they’re presented with clarity and personality. By combining educational animation with bold design and dynamic motion graphics, we transformed technical Formula 1 concepts into an entertaining viewing experience for fans discovering the sport for the first time.

The project demonstrates how animation can simplify highly technical information without losing the excitement, drama and innovation that define Formula 1. Whether explaining engineering, strategy or sporting formats, our goal was to create an explainer film that feels every bit as fast, intelligent and engaging as the sport itself.
